Passion
Life can be incredibly challenging and complicated to navigate. There are so many factors that play into the way we see things, the way we operate, and the emotions we feel. Trauma can be a wide range of experiences and can have a great impact on personal development and ability to heal. I am passionate about helping people identify where their tendencies, emotions and behaviors stem from. There is so much value in identifying what has made us who we are and finding healing and functionality through that knowledge. I feel strongly about the importance of validating others’ suffering while also empowering them to pursue healing and find hope in the midst of the pain.
Approach
I take an integrated approach to therapy that is based off the needs and desires of the client. This often includes DBT, CBT, psychodynamic and EFT when appropriate. I also enjoy utilizing psychoeducation to support clients in understanding how thoughts, feelings, and physical well being are all connected to our experiences.
