Passion
Through our shared humanity and experiences Marc values our interconnectedness. Finding healing through human connectedness is powerful and transformative. Our relationships matter! Although our individual journeys may be filled with past hurts, disappointments and pain, Marc is committed to providing a dedicated therapeutic space designed to help clients explore and work through emotions, traumas, and challenges. A creative thinker, his genuine care and empathy for others foster a strong therapeutic relationship, creating a safe and trusting space for healing.
Approach
Marc integrates multiple approaches based on the needs and preferences of the client. He employs a FOCAL emphasis across multiple modalities that explores themes of active forgiveness, open communication, and acts of love to assist in the individual restoration process and healthy repair of damaged relationships. Marc’s extensive military background is a natural fit for his utilization of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify small steps and practical solutions to promote positive change and improve client well-being. His collaboration with clients via the CBT lens helps identify and question distorted thinking, foster the development of positive and adaptive thoughts, and employ behavioral techniques to address challenges.
Training
As a MFT trainee fully engaged in practicum, Marc has successfully completed graduate coursework in the following subjects: Cognitive-Behavioral and Short-Term Models of Counseling, Couples & Family Counseling, Psychodynamic Models of Counseling, Lifespan Development, Psychopathology, and Psychopharmacology. Marc’s 10-year career in secondary education, 20-year career in correctional casework, and 24-year career in the military have provided him a healthy, blended perspective as defined by ample life experience and professional expertise to effectively understand and address clients’ mental health concerns.
