Passion

We are all hard-wired for connection! Healing and personal growth are possible when you experience a safe person who wants to see you, hear you, and know your story with acceptance and without judgment. My passion is to be a trusting relationship and walk beside you as you name the pain or harmful patterns you have experienced and help you create new ways to live that are life-giving, so you can move towards your goals and improve well-being.

Approach

My counseling style concentrates on a holistic approach that looks at the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social domains of the client. I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy and concepts of Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I have additional training in trauma, attachment, and working with unwanted sexual behaviors and addictions. I am a certified facilitator of SYMBIS, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts; for couples, premarital counseling, second marriages. I have experience in pastoral care and invite spiritual and theological conversations into the session, at the client’s request.
