Passion

“Wherever you go, there you are,” goes the saying. Captured in so few words is deep wisdom about the beauty and challenge of the human condition: learning how to live with ourselves! I believe attention to our personal formation at any age is essential to living a meaningful, fulfilling life. In our work together, you will find that I provide lots of space for discovering ways your past has shaped your present, and partnership for the journey of working towards personal healing. My passion is to be a safe, non-anxious presence to allow you to become undone from past trauma and pain and pieced back together in a way that leads to your personal flourishing.

Approach

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, as you are a unique individual with your own needs, strengths, and challenges. For this reason, I utilize an integrative approach, drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to best serve my clients’ needs as an individual. I have specialized training and practice in working with children, teens, and families, focusing predominately on trauma, depression, anxiety, and parenting skills. I am a certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator for couples and premarital counseling. I am a Christian and invite faith-based conversations into session at your request.
