Passion

Connection and relating to one another are arguably the most important aspects of the human experience. I have a passion for people’s stories – who they are and why they are. I believe that no one is beyond help and that seeking counsel is exceptionally courageous. I am committed to providing a safe environment where anyone can express their struggles or concerns without fear of judgment. I’m looking forward to walking alongside anyone who may reach out in times of need.

Approach

My counseling style incorporates a holistic approach known as the biopsychosocial spiritual model. People are healthiest when each of these categories are in line. If something is amiss in one of these areas, we will work together to strengthen it and make a cohesive whole. I utilize an Emotion-Focused therapeutic approach as well as a Cognitive-Behavioral therapeutic approach. I also lean heavily on Attachment Theory, believing that a great deal of our experiences with others has roots in our social and biological upbringings. Additionally, I am a worship leader and local musician and find that music has wonderful connecting healing components that can be utilized in therapeutic settings. I am currently in my second year of a Masters of Counseling Psychology program at William Jessup University, and am looking forward to graduating in the Fall of 2024.
