Passion
My passion for therapy is rooted in the intersection between my faith and my personal story of overcoming panic disorder and depression. Understanding how overwhelming and hopeless life’s troubles can feel at times, I am motivated to walk alongside and care for those who are seeking breakthroughs in their own lives. I believe that everyone has inherent value, deeply cherished and intentionally created by God. As such, it is my goal to create a safe, non-judgmental environment tailored to each client so that you may be heard, heal, and grow.
Approach
My approach to counseling begins with empathy, authenticity, and a humble curiosity founded in the understanding that you are the expert on your life and experiences, not me. I believe all clients possess the ability to grow and heal. Within an environment based on these principles, you are better equipped to pursue meaningful development and possibilities for change.
I draw from a blend of therapeutic modalities; however, I primarily work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Above all theory, I lead with a Person-Centered approach that sees each client as a whole and unique individual.
